best beginner guitar. (2008-06-07)

Keep this under the bed and drag it out to practice. I could probably play the guitar if I practiced more. Nice design and easy to tune.
WAY BETTER ON THE MARKET. NOT EVEN A BEGGINER GUITAR (2008-03-19)

This guitar is not very good. I went and bought one off ebay after I looked at this one, and this is not originally a 300 dollar guitar. On ebay u can get a great beginner guitar for 30 bucks, pick, metal strings, gig bag, strap, etc. way better deal. Search fretshop on ebay. that is the seller and they r amazing.
Not Very High Quality... (2008-02-06)

While tuning my quitar, the surface separated from the base. As I understand, that's not supposed to happen. I would not recommend this quitar, it's not very high quality and will not last very long...

Johnny's smiling! That's good enough for me! (2007-12-12)

I hesitated buying this guitar for my grandson when I saw a few negative reviews, but when I checked the list, the 5- and 4-star reviews were double the negative ones, so I decided to purchase it.I realize it's not the best on the market, but a beginner doesn't need the best. Kids often think they want to play the guitar, then later change their minds in favor of drums or something else that catches their eyes. With that in mind and the economical price and the accessories, it was a no-brainer decision. Besides, it's quite stylish in a neutral way; not glittery and showy like some guitars I've seen; more suitable for a 12-year-old.When I saw Johnny's face light up when he opened his birthday gift ... well, that was priceless to me. It's three months later and he's still smiling, so I consider this one of my best investments. He's learned a few songs already and is constantly in his room, practicing. Since the sound is good, the noise doesn't bother me. I'd much rather hear him play than listen to blaring rap music. :)One reviewer complained about the carrying bag, but that didn't worry me at all. It was still a good value, with or without the bag, and we've had no problems yet.I recommend this to beginning guitarists, no matter how old. If they stick with it and decide to go professional, they can go on to more expensive equipment later.Review by: Betty Dravis, 2007
