Product Description

Connect your appliances into the Kill A Watt, and assess how efficient they are. A large LCD display counts consumption by the Kilowatt-hour just like utility companies. You can figure out your electrical expenses by the hour, day, week, month, even an entire year. Monitor the quality of your power by displaying Voltage, Line Frequency, and Power Factor

Great little device. Footprint needs updating (2008-08-28)

Purchased this to get an idea of device loads.. and particularly vampire loads. It helped me identify which were the worst offenders, and with some devices, interestingly, there was zero draw when off. This was the case with my 7+ yo TV. It's definitely a handy gadget. The one issue I have with it is the footprint. It's sized just big enough that it covers at least one open plug when you plug the unit in. If they fixed that it'd be a 5-star.
Kill A Watt Is More Than Advertised (2008-08-25)

I bought this to determine Kw usage around the home and it really does work. I also used it to teach my 7 year old about current, voltage, and watts.Well worth the money.
So useful... I love this gadget. (2008-08-24)

I don't know how I didn't have one of these before now. It works great, the display is clear (but you may need a light to read it under a desk, or behind furniture). I've used it to see how much power my PC was using to choose an appropriate power supply, and how much money I'm spending running that old refrigerator. (By the way, my mid/high-end PC only uses about 300W so no need to waste money on a crazy 600W+ supply, and a new energy efficient fridge would pay for itself in a few years).Well worth the money spent on it. I highly recommend it to others.
Garbage! Waste of Money. (2008-08-18)

After about five uses, it started registering my household voltage as 175V and 24A on a 120V 10A refrigerator. The manufacturer said it was a calibration problem and that they would not fix the device or refund my money. They said to go after Amazon.com. What a piece of garbage with horrid support.
Exceedingly useful (2008-08-17)

What can I say? Buy one and use it. It yields valuable information, interspersed with the occasional "does that device *really* draw that much when it's turned off" surprise. The P4400 gives you the raw information. There is an upscale model that might save you some keystrokes on the calculator.I have thoroughly enjoyed mine. And it has been quite genuinely useful in addition.Delivery was prompt. No problems.
